Newcomer of the Year
This award recognises exceptional new talent in the profession, identifying individuals who have made a significant impact on the provision of workplace and/or facilities management services within the first three years of their career.
The winner will be an ambassador for the profession, be passionate and committed to CPD and promoting workplace and facilities management as a career of choice, having gained significant respect of their colleagues and leaders within their organisation. They will be knowledgeable about the issues that FMs face and proactive in driving the profession forward in the future. Entrants must evidence their specific impact and achievements to date with examples and demonstrable results; showcasing original thinking in developing and implementing solutions to benefit their organisation.
The Judges will be looking for confidence, self-awareness and an understanding of their personal impact, influence and relationships within their team, as well as evidence of real acknowledged recognition from the management of their organisation and/or client organisations.
Team of the Year
Do you work in or lead a high-performance team? Do you think your team deserves to be recognised as the best there is the workplace and facilities management sector?
The Team of the Year award focuses on the contribution your team makes to your employer, your client (if you’re a service provider), and to other stakeholders. The winning entry will showcase your achievements and demonstrate that the success you’ve achieved is the result of a structured approach to team-working.
The judges will be looking for evidence of what makes a high-performance team tick: a vision and purpose that is aligned with corporate objectives; clearly defined team roles; mutual trust and values; effective communication both within the team and with internal and external stakeholders; a focus on collaboration and building team culture; development of individuals within the team as well as the team itself; strong leadership; and successful performance outcomes.
The award recognises the team of workplace and facilities management professionals who can demonstrate all the hallmarks of a high-performance team and who are an inspiration to our sector.
Manager of the Year
We are seeking applications from exceptional individuals who have been in a management position in workplace and facilities management for several years. This Award is a unique opportunity for individuals to showcase their exceptional expertise in management of people in the delivery of workplace and facilities management service excellence. This award will highlight the criticality of great management practices and the impact they have on service delivery success and business outcomes.
The Judges will look for evidence of outstanding management qualities, original thinking – including the drive for success – commitment and a breadth of knowledge of the industry. Our winner will demonstrate how great management practices in workplace and facilities management can help shape the direction of their business. Candidates’ industry exposure and experience should reflect across a broad range of achievements in workplace and facilities management service and delivery; this includes both substantive management responsibilities and a deep-seated service ethic.
Leader of the Year
This category is free to enter and nominations are also accepted. Entrants and nominees will remain confidential at all times.
Now in its fourth year, the Leader of the Year category recognises an individual as a strategic, inspirational leader. This professional will be immediately recognised by the sector, demonstrate clear evidence of leading people, substantive business and organisational change, inspiring others, managing relationships, building trust, together with valued, incontrovertible achievements supporting the workplace and facilities management profession.
