Andrew Hulbert takes the helm as Lead Judge for IWFM Newcomer of the Year 2019 & aims to showcase the best young talent within the IWFM

What do we look for in awards submissions?
This award recognises exceptional new talent in the profession, identifying individuals who have made a significant impact on the provision of workplace and/or facilities management services within the first three years of their career. The winner will be an ambassador for the profession, be passionate and committed to CPD and promoting workplace and facilities management as a career of choice, having gained significant respect of their colleagues and leaders within their organisation. They will be knowledgeable about the issues that workplace and facilities management professionals face and proactive in driving the profession forward in the future. We’re looking for confidence, self-awareness and an understanding of their personal impact, influence and relationships within their team, as well as evidence of real acknowledged recognition from the management of their organisation and/or client organisations.

What are the benefits of the awards in general?
The benefits of the awards are about recognising the incredible and progressive work that people complete within our sector. The awards are about showcasing the very best the sector has to offer and giving them a platform to show the rest of the world what they have been achieving. The awards are about advancement, looking for those people that are going to take the industry forward at an exceptional pace, re-writing the rule book as they go. But, perhaps more importantly, it’s a chance to take a step back celebrate the incredible sector that is Workplace & FM.

Showcasing the most exciting IWFM talent within #FacMan at London Zoo!
The Rising FMs SIG are bringing together some of the most exciting talent within the Workplace and Facilities Management environment for a night of inspiration.

The speakers will talk about their journey’s in FM and what the IWFM Newcomer of the Year Award did to propel their careers. Followed by the IWFM Lead Judge sharing some advice on what the IWFM are looking for from the winner of the category this year.

All held in the incredible grounds of London Zoo, the world’s oldest scientific zoo, which opened in April 1828.

This will be followed by drinks and canapes on the stunning Prince Albert Terrace.
