WINNER

> UBS Integrated Facility Management

UBS’ Integrated Facility Management Team (IFM) embarked on an unprecedented change project in 2010 to create its new integrated London office (5 Broadgate or 5BG), which involved migrating 6,500 UBS colleagues to their new workplace and decommissioning six legacy buildings at the same time.

The team implemented a transition strategy, which involved readiness testing, employee ambassadors, cross-functional scenario testing, a sustainability strategy to meet UBS 2020 energy strategy and an integrated FM strategy to reduce the cost of FM and build up the FM talent pool.

The successful migration has seen UBS reduce its overall energy usage by 21%, reduce the operating costs of UBS’ London office to deliver savings of at least 2%, increase desk to employee ratio from 1:1 to 1:1.2, and increase employee satisfaction levels from 64% to 86%.
