Paul McNally, Facilities Manager at VINCI Facilities

With 14 years in the services industry, Paul McNally has only been working in facilities management for the past three years, but he’s had a big impact.

While working on the company’s St Helens Hospital and Whiston Hospital contract, McNally has not only completed a BIFM-accredited BSc (Hons) degree in Facilities Management, he’s also developed two tech-based innovations for his company.

The first arose specifically from his desire to transform patient care. VICCI is a work order monitoring system that combines the strength of Maximo and Excel to provide customisable, real-time, fully-automated, interactive displays with visual and auditory alerts.

Hailed as an industry-first and an “innovative step-change” by some industry leaders, VICCI was an accolade for McNally and powerful tool for VINCI Facilities.

McNally, for whom ‘innovative’ seems to be a fitting adjective, went on to develop MYMI, a cloud-based dashboard designed to provide our senior leaders with a complete real-time overview of our contracts.

He’s now turned his talents to developing VR and AI-based solutions to transform standards through predictive maintenance and remote monitoring.

While not far into his FM career, McNally’s already giving back to the industry. He’s the mentor of three junior team members, providing them with professional guidance as they complete their qualifications.
