VINCI Facilities began the largest social initiative ever in their business, investing over three years funds to develop ‘Reading from the Start’ – an early intervention literacy programme designed to stop illiteracy. The judges agreed that the scheme, which is now entering its third year and continues to expand, has had a great societal impact in changing and expanding children’s and parent’s lives through reading.

> London Borough of Lambeth – working in Partnership with South London & Maudsley NHS Trust (Carpet Care Team Project)

 The London Borough of Lambeth took control of six facilities management contracts to gain better outcomes for local communities. Its Carpet Cleaning scheme offers vocational training for members of Lambeth’s Mental Health Services to gain work experience, develop their social skills and build their confidence.
